WHAT REMAINS
Some things simply can’t be killed, no matter what you may throw at them, whether it’s disease, war or a big, fat meteor. That may include the cockroaches, but it also includes something pretty well indomitable in the human spirit as well. Medicine Box is built upon nurturing and championing these core strengths, so as we launch off into the Screaming ‘20s, we’d like to remind those beginning this year of what they — and you — can draw upon for sustenance in the months to come.
MY GOOD FRIEND, COVID-19
Free speech. It’s on the lips of just about everyone you talk to nowadays, and everyone has an issue with what they can and cannot say about our world. Well, plant medicine practitioners have their own unique cross to bear, especially those of us here in California who remember another time, back when we were able to make our own unique connections with the consumer. It’s important, as we end this month’s discussion on the distinctions between our two brands, to remind you that if you’re using plant medicine, there’s more than one way to get well, no matter what anyone may insist upon.
REBUILDING
While we’ve thankfully made it past 2020, It’s hard not to look at where we were a year ago at this time without some sorrow. That whole world seems gone now, and it’s hard for most to imagine from here how we return to those things we used to take for granted: gathering or going to the grocery store without fear, treating human beings as something other than vectors of disease and regaining the broken threads of community that we desperately need to heal. In short, rebuilding.
